He was holding his girlfriends hand, bouncing around, and then hae was knocked out cold by an out of control chubby kid who had been sold way too much cotton candy. The Bouncing part is his harrowing adventure in one of those bouncy castle bubble things. This song was written about an experience Tom Marshal's friend, Larry Feathers, had at a County Fair in New Jersey. Sadly Larry went missing while spelunking in NewFoundland by himself several months later and never was found but he fortunately told Tom about his County Fair adventure beforehand. That chubby kid turned out to be Chris Christie, future NJ Gov. Larry was fine, just a little wet and confused. This awoken Larry and since he had his glasses broken by an errant horseshoe toss earlier that day he could not tell where he was and the sirens he thought were singing for him was actually coming from the nearby bandshell from a Heart cover band playing Barracuda. Having lost consciousness he had no control over where the bouncy castle decided to bounce him too and he got bounced right over the top of the wall of the castle and into a shallow moat that had been erected around the castle which also doubled as a man made coral reef exhibit where fair goers could rent snorkel gear and safely experience seeing a coral reef without the threat of being attacked by a shark or stung by a jellyfish. That time then and once again, I'm bouncing round the room, (cont)Īnd I awoke, faintly bouncing round the room That time then and once again, I'm bouncing round the room Then before and now once more, I'm bouncing round the room The place I sought was far beneath, the surface of the sea For when my eyes were watching hers, they closed, and I was still asleepĪnd I awoke, and faintly bouncing round the room
